FAQs

General Guidelines

  • New students arrive 15 minutes prior to class time to register.
  • Women should wear shorts and sports bras or tanks. No T- shirts or sweat pants.
  • Men should wear shorts or swim trunks. No T- shirts or sweat pants.
  • Yoga is done with bare feet. No shoes or socks in the hot room.
  • Yoga mats must be used. Mats are available for rental or purchase if you do not have one.
  • You will need adequate amount of towels to cover your yoga mat and absorb sweat. We recommend 2 large towels and a face cloth. Towels are available for rent.
  • You will need a large bottle of water. Water is available in vending machines. NO water fountain.
  • Come to class well hydrated and prepared to sweat- the yoga room will be HOT (over 100F).
  • Come on a light stomach. We don’t recommend eating 3 hours prior to class time.
  • Showers and changing rooms available.
  • We accept Cash, Checks MC Visa and Discover card.

What if I'm not flexible?

This is the most common misconception that prevents people from coming to a yoga class. Anyone, regardless of age or current physical condition, will benefit from stretching the spine and body, in the most effective, therapeutic yoga routine imaginable!

Why is the room heated?

The heat supports the natural healing process of the body, by increasing one's flexibility, and releasing deep tension, while cleansing the entire body.

What are some of the benefits of Bikram Yoga?

Some of the benefits of Bikram Yoga include:

  • Increased energy level, strength and flexibility
  • Improved circulation, respiration and digestion
  • Improved balance and concentration
  • Increased muscle tone and bone density

Additionally, those who practice Yoga experience relief from stress and tension, and an overall health and wellness in body, mind and spirit.

How do I prepare?

Eat light the day of class; you may not want to eat anything three hours prior. Drink lots of water the day of class as it is important that you are well hydrated. Dress in cool and comfortable clothing. Remember, you will sweat. Allow 15 minutes before your first class to get started.
